Cambridge University Ceilidh Band

Welcome to CUCB!

The Cambridge University Ceilidh Band is a thriving non-audition society of energetic musicians brought together by our inexhaustible enthusiasm for folk music. While the society's origins are in folk tunes from the British Isles, our interests have expanded and we now perform a wider variety of folk music.

We are always available for ceilidhs, May Balls, weddings, birthday parties, or any other events which might benefit from our talent and energy. With a rotating lineup, we play at over 70 events a year, mainly around Cambridge. Since we are so active, we, and our associated callers, have a wealth of experience to offer in creating the perfect atmosphere for an fantastic evening's dancing, or perhaps simply livening up a social occasion. If this sounds interesting, we look forward to hearing from you!

Hauxton Primary School Fundraiser

Friday 31st March will see us playing at a fundraiser for Hauxton Primary School! Come along to the school and dance! (Also, don't tell anyone we told you, but there will be a licensed bar open too...)

Doors open 19:30, with a couple of hours of great dancing to follow soon after!

Tickets are £8 in advance, or £10 on the door. You can purchase them from the school, or email hauxtonschoolassociation@gmail.com

Date: Friday 21st April 2017 Time: 19:15 Venue: Great Chishill Village Hall

St Swithun's Fundraiser

CUCB will be playing at a fundraising ceilidh for the St Swithun's Church in Great Chishill, and we'd love to see lots of you come along!

The ceilidh will take place in the Great Chishill Village Hall, on Friday 21st April from 19:00 - 23:00, and all proceeds will go towards restoring the church tower.

Tickets are £12.50, with dinner included, and are available by emailing 1drakeral@gmail.com

World Land Trust Fundraiser

Come along from 7pm to St. Paul's on Hills Rd for this fundraiser in aid of the World Land Trust, a UK charity raising money to conserve habitats all round the globe.

With a sparkling drinks reception, bar, light refreshments, a prize raffle, and best of all us, what's not to like?!
